eAchieve Elementary
We believe that any student, regardless of their past schooling experiences or life challenges can find success at eAchieve. We are happy to accept this challenge and are grateful for the chance to serve 4K - 5th grade students and families from all across Wisconsin. eAchieve students leave elementary school with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions they need to have a terrific middle school experience!
Our school slogan says "For All Students" because we believe that all students can learn. It’s our privilege and pleasure to find effective pathways to help each student receive the high-quality education they deserve. Teachers universally design their lessons, which are interesting, engaging, and aligned to the Wisconsin State Curriculum Standards, to meet the needs of all learners.
eAchieve Elementary students complete a full course schedule each semester, Classes include the following:
Synchronous Learning - Live instructional sessions are scheduled at the same time each week for every subject (Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Music). Students can choose to watch the recordings if they aren't able to attend the live class.
Asynchronous Lessons - Teachers create interesting, relevant, and rigorous learning experiences for students to engage with independently, submitting their evidence of learning weekly for teacher feedback. Students can access their lessons 24/7 so they can make good and steady progress all semester.
Community Building Meetings - Each Monday, teachers meet with their students to work on community-building skills and learn about social and emotional strategies with their school counselor. We want students to feel a sense of belonging and be part of a true learning community.
Asynchronous Programs and Practice - Teachers assign weekly practice in a variety of online programs so students can practice their literacy and math skills in these engaging and fun programs.
Proficiency-Based Grades - Students receive high-quality feedback on their assignment submissions and teachers use their assignments to determine the next instructional steps for each student.
How does eAchieve Elementary work?
eAchieve Elementary's instruction model is built on one concept: Flexibility
Students can attend daily live lessons with their teachers, and then work with their learning coach to practice the skills they have learned. While the live sessions are scheduled, the flexibility is provided by being able to watch recordings of the sessions or complete the practice activities when it works best for you. Students also have opportunities to dig into more extensive projects, focusing on their interests while being able to showcase their skills and progress. At eAchieve, we have a path for ALL students!
What is my role as my student's Learning Coach?
Learning coaches are a key part of student success at eAchieve Elementary, as they are vital in both motivating their students and managing learning experiences. We feel that the teacher-learning coach-student partnership is one of the best approaches to learning, as each party has a key role to play. The Learning Coaches are responsible for the following:
Creating a safe workspace in a public home area for students to learn each day.
Help students log into their daily live sessions and access their lessons and online programs.
Create a daily/weekly schedule and help students follow the schedule.
Meet with the teacher to ask questions about lessons or coaching strategies.
Creating a positive learning attitude and instilling the value of working hard to learn and grow.
Celebrating their student's success!
What do eAchieve Elementary Classes Look Like?
eAchieve Elementary uses Blackboard as the Learning Management System (LMS). We think of Blackboard as our virtual school "building". Instead of walking through the doors, students log into Blackboard to access their classes. Here is what a 1st Grade class looks like when you log in:
When you click on "lessons" from the left side menu, you will find the learning resources and assignments. Here are some Reading and Math lesson examples for 2nd Grade:
